For years, I have been walking through nature in the Netherlands and other countries around the world. During all these trips, I've seen the strangest things happened around me. Dear being driven to one specific area where a photographer is waiting, butterflies being kicked off from the flowers they're sitting on, littering and much, much more.
Nature first is a non-profit organization that helps photographers understand what their impact is on nature.
I don't want to preach, and I also wander off paths from time to time, but I truly believe in the Nature First philosophy. It's all about think before you act, what's your impact when you decide to do something. What happens when you start sharing a location to the world? What impact does it have on a species when hundreds of photographers start chasing after them?
We should be careful with the little nature that there is left on this planet. And that's why I decided to support and promote the Nature first initiative where I can.
You can read the points that they stand for underneath here. The main message is that you can think first before you act.
